For a very long time, Paul Bremigan had been the most recognizable person in town, revered the way title-winning football coaches are in rusted-out, one-stoplight burgs dotting Ohio, Texas, Pennsylvania - places where "Coach," for better or worse, carries more weight than "Officer."  Than "Mayor."  Than "Reverend." Sometimes even more than "Mom" or "Dad."
